Agreeing to these terms

By using Clarpex you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Clarpex does

Clarpex is an online tool that improves photos with AI: it enhances and upscales, sharpens, removes blur, restores old prints and colorizes black and white photos. Each tool offers versions that differ in quality, size and credit cost, shown before you start.

Credits

• Every run costs credits. The price of each version is shown before you start and on the pricing page.
• Free daily credits. Everyone gets free credits each day for Standard versions. They're valid for that day only and don't carry over. One person gets one daily allowance: creating extra accounts or otherwise working around the limit isn't allowed, and we may block it.
• Failed runs. If a run fails, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
• Credit packs never expire.
• Subscription credits are added every month (yearly plans too). Unused credits roll over while your subscription is active, up to 3 times your monthly credits, and are cleared when the subscription ends.
• Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred or sold.

Subscriptions and payments

• Payments are processed by our payment processor. Prices are in US dollars and may include tax where required.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your billing page; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• We may change prices for future periods. We'll tell subscribers before a new price applies to them.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, payments aren't refundable. If you were charged by mistake or something went wrong, email us at support@clarpex.ai and we'll look into it.

What you can upload

Only upload photos you have the right to use. You must not upload anything that:

• infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights,
• shows the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors, or sexual content of anyone without their consent,
• is illegal, or is meant to harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate someone.

Some images can't be processed, for example for safety reasons. When that happens we may try processing it another way, or the run fails and the credits are returned. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Who owns what

You keep all rights to the photos you upload and to the results you create. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your photos or results.

Files are deleted automatically: after 24 hours when you're not signed in, and 72 hours after the task is created when you are, unless you turn on "Keep my tasks" in History. Download any result you want to keep. We aren't responsible for results that are deleted as described here.

About AI results

AI editing is a prediction, not a recovery of the original. Results can contain mistakes: details that were never there, faces that look slightly different, colors that weren't real, or patches filled in where a photo was damaged. Always compare the result with your original before you rely on it, and don't use results as evidence or official records. Results are provided as they are, without a guarantee that they'll suit a particular purpose.

Fair use of the service

Don't try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, get around rate limits or credit rules, or access it by automated means except through features we offer for that. We may limit or suspend access to protect the service and other users.

Availability

We work to keep Clarpex running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error free. We may change, add or remove tools and versions, and change how they work.

Ending your account

You can stop using Clarpex at any time, and you can delete your account at any time in Account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Unused credits are lost when an account is closed for breaking these terms.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Clarpex isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell signed-in users about significant changes. If you keep using Clarpex after a change, the new terms apply.
